Mumbai to have Four Jewellery Malls

Even as volatile gold prices have forced family-owned jewellers to put expansion plans on hold, Mumbai-based Vardhaman Developers plans to build four more jewellery malls in the city. It is already set to launch Jewel World, Mumbai’s first jewellery mall. Rajesh Vardhan, managing director of Vardhaman Developers said, “The company has booked properties in Borivli, Mulund, Ghatkopar and Santa Cruz to launch malls with the Jewel World brand. The malls, with a retail space of 30,000 sq ft and more will be launched within a year.”

Godrej Properties to File for Public offer Soon

Godrej Industries Ltd will file papers for an Initial Public Offer (IPO) with the markets regulator in a few days. The company is currently developing about 20 million sq ft in Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Unitech to Develop 80 acres of Prime Mumbai Land

Unitech has ventured into the Mumbai market to develop around 80 acres in central Mumbai over the next five years. Unitech has tied yup with a Mumbai- based company that has around 20 acres of land near the Bandra-Kurla Complex and is likely to acquire another 60 acres nearby.
